Age/Sex Module
From the big picture we move to looking at the data through age and sex, the most commonly-used lens in Healthcare. SmartCare® lets you define your own resource categories and map treatment codes to them and it also lets you create multple age-breakdown structures. Unlike the PMPM Module that automatically displays all of the resource categories, the Age/Sex Module lets you select up to 20 resource categories, and pick from your choice of age breakdown structures to see utilization of these resources divided in each age range and gender.

As you can see, SmartCare®’s graphing capabilities include being able to tilt and rotate the graph for a better look.

The Age/Sex Module also lets you filter the population according to any of the demographic, provider, or diagnostic factors. This graph shows age breakdowns for men with overlapping asthma, diabetes, and congestive heart failure conditions, classified by the 3M CRG engine.

As is the case throughout SmartCare®, you can print out the graph in color or save it to a file, as well as print out any table or copy it into another tool such as a spreadsheet program, with the push of a button located on the toolbar of every module.
