Resources Module
You’ve looked at utilization statistics for every resource, you’ve picked the most important ones and viewed their age/sex distributions, perhaps even selected only those patients in certain disease groups. Now you want to drill into one particular resource category and find out what’s going on. That’s what the Resources Module is for.
In the Resources Module you can explore every resource category one at a time. But this exploration can go in a number of different directions, so the module is actually 4 modules in 1.

Let’s say you’re having a problem with high radiology costs, and you want to know which PCPs have the most expensive individual episodes. Pick these two fields, move a slider bar, and then press the “Retrieve” button. There they are—that’s what you see on this screen—and this is just one of the 4 windows in this module. If you like you can compute the standard deviation or a best fit trend line, again with the push of a button, and see who the statistical outliers were or where utilization is headed.
Then you can go to another window in Resources and get a distribution of all of the treatment codes and their frequency of use, or another for the distribution of all of the diagnosis codes, or practically anything else at this level. The Resources Module is a huge cross-tab engine that let’s you cross-tab everything.
