SmartCare®, a software system produced by Armonk, NY-based Vantage Point, Inc, will predict the cost of providing services. The system determines utilization patterns and uncovers trends within data. Armed with this valuable information, health systems believe that they will save 10% to 20% on contract negotiations with physician groups and other types of providers, because the software pinpoints a provider's costs for services.
